みなさん、お久しぶりです。本田です。

2012年度のFace to Faceは、教育学研究科の中矢先生の授業である講義（「日本の社会と文化」）と合わせた形で開催いたします。
6月のF2Fの報告をいたします。
テーマ： 多文化共生社会を考える

活　動： 留学生と日本人学生が多文化共生社会のあり方について


今回は、「多文化共生社会を考える」というテーマのもと、現代社会における多文化共生社会の創造のための政策と実態について、講義を受講している留学生と事前に申し込みしてくださった日本人学生のみなさんが議論をしました。


以下は、参加者の感想文の一部抜粋です。


留学生の方から

●ディスカッションは、とても楽しかった。日本人の学生と接する機会が少ないので、来

てもらってうれしかったです。また今度もよろしくお願いします。日本社会について本人

の意見が大事なので。

●よかった。先生以外の日本人と話したりするのは珍しいです。というのは、日本に身を

置いていても、日本人に囲まれていても日本人と交流するチャンスがあまりない。特にキ

ャンパスで日本人の学生と交流ももっと少ない。この原因はいったいなんでしょうか。多

文化共生は永遠の夢でしょうか。日本は住みやすい国でしょうか。

●日本人の学生たちと一緒にいろいろ話ができて、本当にうれしくて、楽しかったです。このようなチャンスがもっともっとほしいですね。みんなで一緒に話しているうちに、文化は国によってこんなに違うんだなあって深く感じました。これからの多文化社会の中で、お互い思いやりをしながら生きていこうと思います。



日本人の方から

●多文化共生社会のあり方についての考え、そのためにどうすべきかの志は、国が違えど目指す所は同じなんだなぁということが改めて実感出来たことがとても良かったです。日本人が海外に行ってもそうなんですが、　留学生というのは、（特に同じ国の）留学生同士で固まってしまうものです。
しかし共生する社会というのは、交流が無ければかなわない事だとセミナーの中の話し合いでも全ての班が口を揃えて言っていました。このようなセミナーも一種の機会ですが、このような場をもっと多くの人と共有できたら良いのになと思います。


●私は以下の2点の理由から、この授業が有意義であったと感じました。一点目は、自分の意見を人に伝える良い訓練になったことです。ゼミ以外では討論をする授業は少ないため、貴重な機会でした。あるテーマに対して短時間で多くの意見を出し、それに理由をつけて人に的確に説明する良い機会になりました。二点目は、自分とは考え方の違う人の意見を吸収する良い機会であったことです。同じ日本人でありながら、自分とは全く違った切り口からテーマを捉える人や、外国人として自分の経験を話してくれる人を討論をすることで、自分自身の考え方を深めることができたと思います。



以上のように、参加してくれたみなさんがF2Fを通して、活発に議論をしてくださったことが伺えます。


私も参加したのですが、留学生のみなさんがしっかりと日本の多文化社会の現状について勉強していたことや、留学生のみなさん自身の日本での経験から、様々な意見を聞くことができました。私としては、議論の中で、地方自治体、企業、そして広い範囲での教育機関の役割が非常に大きいと感じました。

Theme: What multicultural society should be

The theme is "What multicultural society should be ", and the participants are consist of international students who take the class and Japanese students who apply for F2F. We discuss about the policy and the actual situation for realize the multicultural society.

I'm sorry for that I can't translate some comments of the participants...

International students had studied well about actual situation in Japan and had so many experiences in Japan as foreigners, so they have various opinion. I found that the roll of the local governments, the companies  and the educational institution which means from junior high school to university is important for multicultural society in the discussion.

Face to Face on November 28th

こんにちは。11月28日に行われた、F2Fの報告をさせていただきます。

今回の発表者は教育学研究科のアナスタシアさんで、ロシアからの留学生です。

「中学校における平和教材に関する研究」ということで、ロシアと日本の中学校での平和教育の比較や、それに伴う、両国の平和観の違いなどについて、発表してくれました。人権保障や社会的格差のない社会を平和とする、積極的平和観の育成のために、国境なき医師団（MSF）に関する教材を用いて、ロシアと日本の中学校で授業を実施し、授業前と後のアンケートの結果を交えた内容でした。

発表に関して、質問が活発に飛び交い、参加者の今回のテーマに関する興味の高さがうかがえました。

グループ討論では、各グループともに自国の平和教育や平和観について紹介し合うなどして、

平和と一口に言っても、各国、または各個人で全く認識が違うということが実感されたようです。

また、中学校の教育が平和観というものについて、多大な影響を与えるという意見も見受けられました。

グループ討論を通して、普段友人同士でも、踏み込んで話すことのない話題が日本人学生と留学生の間で繰り広げられ、参加者にとってよい経験になった思います。

今回、発表しくださった、アナスタシアさん、そして参加して下さったみなさま、本当にありがとうございます。

Hello, everyone. Let me tell you about the Face to Face project on November 28th.

The last presenter was Anastasia, a Master student in the Graduate school of Education, from Russia. She shared with us a graph that showed the differences between Russia and Japan's Peace education system. Throughout her presentation about "Research on Peace education materials in Junior high school,"many different peace views were revealed. For the purpose of developing a positive peace view, which means you see Peace as to defend human rights or prevent social gaps, lessons about "Doctors without Boarders(MSF)" were held in junior high school classes in both countries. The junior high school students took a questionnaire before and after the lesson. Anastasia shared the results of questionnaire while she presented.

After Anastasia's talk, many participants asked questions about her presentation, and I found that they were really interested in this subject.

During the discussion time, the participants introduced their countries' Peace education as well as their own Peace views. After that, they seemed to have realized that each country's view about peace is totally different from country to country or from person to person. They did this through the introduction of their countries' Peace education and their own Peace views.

Also, some people think that the Junior high school education system influences their own Peace views.

I think it was a good experiences for the Japanese students and International students, because they discussed subjects that they usually don't ever talk about with their friends.

Face to Face Project on June.27th

こんにちは。
6月27日に行われたFacetoFaceProjectの報告です。

今回の発表者は日本語・日本文化研修生のキアラ・コマストリさんでした。
彼女はイタリア人作家のフォスコ・マライーニと井上ひさしの作品を例に、イタリア人と日本人がお互いの国に対して持つ「イメージ」について検討し、イタリア人という彼女の立場から、日本とイタリアの「イメージ」と現実とのギャップや、他国（日本）からのまなざしによって新たに気付いた自国（イタリア）のことについて発表してくれました。

彼女の発表やその後のグループ討論では、日本人は集団意識が強く、「出る杭は打たれる」ということわざのようにその場の空気を読む、というイメージがあるという意見が日本人学生からも、留学生からも頻繁に出ましたね。

また、対照的で面白かったのは、イタリア、中国からの留学生は自分の街（地元）に愛着を持ち、街が自分のアイデンティティだと言う方もいましたが、日本人はあまり街に愛着を持っていないし、自分のアイデンティティも国・街ではなくその時所属している集団よって変化していくという方が多かったことです。
街への印象と自分のアイデンティティの問題は深く関わっているのかもしれません。既存の「イメージ」をどのように壊し、再構築していくべきなのか考え深いです。
今回は、みなさんの率直な「異国」、「自国」に対するイメージを聞くことができ、実り多い討論になったと思います。

次回は7月21日に、中国からのHUSA留学生、王さんに発表をしていただきます。

Hello, everyone.
Let me report about Face to Face Project on June.27th.
The speaker was Ms.Chiara Comastri who is an international student from Italy.
Introducing two books written respectively by Italian writer "Fosco Maraini" and Japanese writer "Hisashi Inoue", she presented about two countries's different image and what she found about "own country" through the gaze from "other country".
Through her presentation and the group discussion, we found that a lot of students have the impression that Japanese people tend to prefer a group instead of the individual and as, a Japanese proverb says, Japanese people adapt themselves to the present situation trying to avoid giving trouble.
Except for Japanese students, almost all people showed the deep attachment to their own city or town and some of them stated that their identity resides in their city/town. In contrast, Japanese student told that they don't have the special attachment to it and their identity resides in the small community which they belong.
I think that our town thoughts have an important influence on our identity. This time we had the chance to know a lot of opinions about the vision of the own and the other country, and we could have a productive discussion indeed.
We are planning to have the next Face to Face Project on July. 21st.
The next speaker will be Ms.Ou Ei, who is an international student from China. I hope for your participation.
