Face to Face Project on April.25th

4月25日に行われたFace to Faceの報告をします。
今回のテーマは「日本が直面する震災と原発問題について」でした。
震災の２週間後に現地にボランティアで行った祖一さんにその活動の報告をしていただき、その後いつものようにグループに分かれて「震災」や「原発」といったテーマについて議論しました。
今回は日本人学生、留学生を含め、とても多くの方に来ていただき、Face to Faceを知ってもらうきっかけになったように思います。
祖一さんの発表は、実際に自分の目で見た人しか表現することができないメッセージがこめられていて、私たちに答えではなく”問い”を投げかけ、考えさせられる内容の発表でした。
その後の議論では震災に対する支援の方法やメディアの情報の信頼性、地震に関する日本の行政や、留学生からみた震災時の「日本人」、原子力発電所の問題、また状況を理解できていない被災地の子供への対応など、各グループで様々な方向から今回の東日本大震災について意見を交換しました。
今回のテーマだった東日本大震災は多くの人が関心や思いを抱いていたのでとても1時間半では時間が足りませんでしたね。
議論の時間が短く、消化不良を感じた方もいるかもしれません。
ですが、少ない時間でしたが、今回「震災」について自分の意見を述べ、他の人の意見を聞いて考えを共有する場を持つことができたのは、貴重なことだと思います。
みなさんが今回のFace to Faceで各々考えたことを普段の生活に持ち帰って、
これから震災のことを考える際に何か考えるヒントとなれば良いです。

今回参加して下さった方、ありがとうございました。
私は普段通りの生活をしながら、今回のこの場に来れなかった人たちにこの会で考えたことを何か伝えていきたいです。

Let me make the report of Face to Face Project on April.25.
This theme was "the earthquake disaster and nuclear accident in Japan".
Firstly, Mr.Soichi presented the results of the volunteer activity in Miyagi. It was, I think, valuable presentation to be considered because of his real experience. Then, separating into seven groups, we shared each impression of his presentation and the disaster afterward. We had many kinds of topic in each groups. For example, supports for the stricken area, unreliable information media, the Japanese Government, the image of Japanese by international students, the problems of nuclear power generation and supports for the children who can’t accept the tragedy.
All of us had great interests in the earthquake and a lot of opinions about it, so 1.5 hours of discussion wasn’t enough to exchange all of our thoughts. However, even if we didn’t have enough time to discuss each other, it was a valuable chance to exchange our own different impression of the earthquake disaster.
I hope what you considered in this Face to Face Project is helpful for you thinking about the earthquake disaster in your common days.
I also try to convey what I thought over in this Face to Face Project for people who can’t participate in this time.

春休みが終わり、新学期が始まりました。
4月のF2Fの日程が決まりましたのでお知らせします。

テーマ：日本が直面する震災と原発問題について

先月に起こった東日本大震災。
広島は幸い、この地震の直接的な被害に合うことはなく、私も含め多くの学生がいつもと変わらない日常を過ごしていることでしょう。しかし、ふとTVや新聞、インターネットなどによる情報によって目を被災地に移せば、余震や原発、地震の事後的な影響による被災地の人たちの不安は続いていることに気付きます。私たち全員が、彼らのためになるようなことをすぐに直接することはできず、悶々と感じることもあるかもしれません。しかしその中で、震災や原発の問題を自分たちに無関係ではなく、自分たちにも降りかかっていたかもしれないこととして考え、直接の被害を受けていない私たちがその意見を交換し、理解を深めることは私たちが今少なからずできることなのではないでしょうか。

今回は震災の2週間後に日本財団と専門NPOのヒアリング調査で実際に宮城県の避難所を回った祖一さんに報告の発表をしていただきます。そのあといくつかのグループに分かれ、震災や原発に関する議論をする予定です。専門的な知識はなくて構いません。日本人の学生と留学生を交え、様々な国の視点から自分が今回の地震に関して考えたことを話しましょう。

今回のF2Fは、参加者さまからの質問を事前に受け付けております。
その質問を受けて、発表者の方が発表の内容を考えるそうです。
もし、調査活動に関することでも、震災のことでも何か聞きたいことがありましたら、

Hello, everyone.

One month has passed since the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake struck Japan.
People who aren't related to this earthquake directly spend ordinary days like me in Hiroshima.
I think, thinking this disaster as it was possible I suffered great damage because of this earthquake is what we can do for people who live in a stricken area.
This time, Mr.Soichi, who made an on-the-spot investigation in Miyagi as a project member of a Japan Foundation and NPO, will report results of the investigation.
You don't have to have special knowledge. Let's exchange our own opinion of this disaster with Japanese student or exchange students.
